Nokia Focusing on Qt, Will Extend Reach for Developers
So, as a developer, if you create your application in Qt, you will be able to easily deploy it to Nokia devices on both Symbian and MeeGo platforms.
In addition to focusing on Qt for application development, Nokia announced its intent to support HTML5 for development of Web content and applications for both Symbian and MeeGo platforms.
I continue to think Nokia won’t matter going forward, along with Palm.

Note that they will only keep Java ME in Symbian for compatibility, and not support it in MeeGo.

Regardless of Marko’s relative candor, we have to say that we’re very disappointed that the rest of Nokia’s execs were unwilling to discuss MeeGo at Nokia World.
Same here.
Nokia just passed on an opportunity to rally 3,000 of its most loyal developers around its new flagship platform while gathered together under the same roof in London.
Really bad move.
While Nokia told us that it had nothing to announce about a timeline change for MeeGo, we can’t help but get the impression that it’s going to slip into early 2011.
If so, they might be pushed to launch tablets too.

Telefonica usará Meego em múltiplas plataformas
A decisão da Telefónica e da Orange reforça a característica multiplataforma com foco de acesso a serviços via browsing de uma nova geração de sistemas operacionais, como Meego e o Chrome OS, enquanto Android, Symbian e iPhone OS se restringem à tela dos celulares, analisa Rethink.
O Android já está nas telas maiores de vários tablets e na Sony Internet TV.
Note-se que o Orby também não seria interessante com Android.
